China will launch trial permanent residencies for foreigners

Pilot policies and regulations, including the permanent residence of foreigners in China, will be gradually carried out, according to an outline released by the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee and the State Council on Dec. 1.

The policies on the introduction of international talents will be further improved in China, indicated the Outline of the Plan for the Regional Integrated Development of the Yangtze River Delta.

China will also increase policy support to help attract and introduce overseas talents.

The outline added that in the future, the Yangtze River Delta region would carry out pilot policies on facilitating the handling of permanent residence and work permits for foreigners in China.

Meanwhile, China will promote the development of international communities, improve international schools, international hospitals and other supporting public services, and push forward comprehensive services for international talents.
